Freezing Peeler

#1 Post by Teegerstk »

Have a couple peeler crabs left after today (blank) and I don't think I'll be fishing anytime next week so I better freeze 'em up.
How do you do it, would you peel and then freeze or freeze whole? They're still alive
Thanks

I freeze them whole mostly ...I just through them straight in..great for smoothhound...also you know that they were frozen straight away unlike getting frozen crab in some tackle shops that might not be great condition...I have peeled them before and frozen them too but prefer freezing them whole...remember to freeze the legs also as these are good bait also

Would you put them in a container/ziploc bag or put them in clingfilm?
