This time of the year it would be mainly flounder from the lighthouse in and up the river.
the beach would be best fished from dusk into darkness anything could turn up with the dogs :lol:
Herd that there is a few mackerel around the harbour they would be handy for a night session on the beach.

Not so much as in short supply but this time of the year they are very small and not worth the trouble of picking the traps.

im always up for fishing in and around youghal area pm me if you wish to meet up for a session or two. im even up for late sessions on the weekend :D :D weather does not bother me if you have read my report from December lol

I think the amounts of green slimey weed choking the tyres isn't helping matters either.Also if only only small peelers available its for the best they are been left alone to grow big and juicey for upcoming cod season. :D

My picker said its actually a lack of crabs , he had to give me frozen a few weeks back
