Has anyone fished this Mark in clew bay?
2016 Species: Thornback ray, Bass,Dogfish, Pollock, Coalie, Whiting, Cod, Flounder, Smooth hound, Sea trout, shore tope, shore Anglerfish, Scad, Mackeral,Ballan Wrasse,Goldsinny Wrasse, Tompot Blenny,Goby,Pouting,Poor cod.

It can be a great mark for rays huss etc. But it's been poor the last year

However I fished it for four hours today, not even a bite.

I think it might be to early for the inner channels of the bay yet.
Target for 2017: Tope, Bass, Specimen shore pollack, Specimen Sea trout, Turbot over 30cm, common skate

Cheers for replies, Il maybe give it ago at some stage this summer, I have looked at the map and its shows the location abit from the road, is access straight forward?

It was trawled on the last of the big tides late last year.

Are you sure of that dan? I know a particular trawler that was trawling for thornback last year but I didnt know that they did it in so close. Thats just disgusting... :( Explains why my baits wernt even touched the last day. And at another mark kieran and I fished a few months back in kilmeena

Yes I'm sure. I was told of the catch amount but can't remember how many boxs of ray now. Dogs and Huss were also boxed too. But I do think in summer it should fish again with some that were missed with the trawl. I hope.
