So Griff and I headed off on friday and we decided to fish Kerry for the evening we tried Fenit pier and I had no joy, Griff had 4 Doggies, I said I want a Bass so lets head somewhere else, so packed gear and headed to another mark and commenced fishing into Darkness and not long after the rod was hit bby a freight train, a lovely Bass and fought well, the only fish caught at this Matk but so glad it was me as Griff knew its what I was after. Day 2 headed to Clare matk and got there for around 11am and commenced fishing and we ended the day with 5 Ray and biggest 8lb and my new PB, we were thrn starving and went in search of food, clare folk must have the lowest cholesterol levels as we couldnt find a Chipper anywhere, then Quilty came to the rescue, ah lovely, Headed to Doughmore strand, high tide waves crashing looked brill, until we cast that was and then floating weed everywhere, as tide ebbed we thought it might be grand, we were wrong, heading down beach and still weed so we called it a night and headed back to Ennis for well earned sleep.
Brilliant weekend and some nice fish caught.
