Bannow Bay

#1 Post by samo »

Hi Chaps,

Was thinking of heading down and doing an over night session on Bannow Bay in around 4 weeks time. Just wondering if anyone has any knowledge on the area and what might turn up what baits and tides etc would be best.

I'd say fresh peeler and lug would suffice, might be worth bringing rag too. Flounders around Bannow, it was featured on a TV episode with Henry Gilbey and he caught a few bass, so there's a chance of that. Good luck!

EDIT: For the tides I'd say 1st hour of flood and beyond, neap.
You can dig lug in Duncannon, if you don't feel up to it there's a supplier near the beach who sells it fresh. I'll PM you his no. if you want!
