Seems awfully dear to me - was in a hurry and no bait so didnt question it but thinking about it im not sure thats right!

10 crab should be a tenner
a wrap of lug is about a fiver (I think) and there is probably 15 or so in a wrap so that's another 15-20 euro

pack of mackerel a few euro same for sandeel

so we are up to about 40 quid before the leads. Doesn't sound great unfortunately

Paid top buck for sure but I'd be expecting to pay near enough to that if you weren't known to the shop.

Ah it's about 15 euro more than what I would pay but some shops pay more for there bait and lead so Iam not saying you got robbed but does seem a bit expensive

Ballygarrett - I cant see how they would pay much more for wholesale stock - with Joe now gone from courtown this place should start shifting alot - I wont be back tho - arklow only 15 mins away. Once bitten etc!

Thats crazy for frozen bait when tom redmond owned that shop he was pretty cheap.The polish guy in arklow is a sound man and always has fresh bait

The shop is called wild ireland its on the corner beside the church on the main street he always has fresh bait.

I don't agree with the idea that you need to know the tackle shop owner to get bait at decent value.How on earth is a beginner meant to get started if he's being robbed left right and centre?

The sentiment almost seems to be "Sure you didn't know the shop keeper,of course you deserve to be robbed"

Most tackle shops charge around €8 for 10 wraps. Crab is €1 to €1.50 depending on the time of year mack and Sandeel is usually €4 all added up with the grippers its about right
