Beaches for new toy

#1 Post by ardinn »

So I bought a bait pump!

The only beaches in or around me I can see with any meaningful amount of casts are rosslare point and st helens.

Anyone know of any other decent streches of sand with good amounts of lug/rag, without having to go to dublin or waterford. Any tips also appreciated.

Bait pumps are really only for black lug. It will make poop of everything else!

Its not a case of buying a pump and finding a cast, you will have to find soft enough sand to use it on and it will work on all lug just depends on the sand no good for rag at all tho

Thanks for the info - Not expecting miracles but handy to have in the van to use between casts. Why is it no good for rag though?

The softer worms will split when pumped.
Have you had a look on youtube? There are plenty videos on pumping worm.
