Waterford estuary

#1 Post by bogwoppit »

I'm being dragged down to Waterford next weekend by the other half, managed to get a few hours fishing into the deal so happy days.

I want to target the few cod that might be in so I was thinking of trying cheekpoint.

I've never fished there or even fished for cod before so any tips?

I have frozen peeler and I was hoping to dig some lug.

Ballyhack where the ferry docks and just down past the ferry stop on the passage east side or Arthurstown pier might get ya a few.

If I was to fish at passage east I assume I'd fish on the beach to the right of the ferry.
There's some lug to be dug there from what I recall.
