I need to get a better rod for this winters fishing ... can anybody recommend a good lightweight rod for fishing strong currents with weed .... I will be fishing in the waterford estuary and in youghal the tides are strong and it needs to be good for heavy weights ... I usually fish off the piers rather than the beaches .... and a suitable reel to go with it
My budget for a rod and reel is about 300 euro
thanks
