Squid fishing on the beara or sheeps head in West cork

Heading down for a couple of days fishing soon would love to try for squid got a few thing online for fishing for them any info would be great thanks

Bit early for the squid, normally september before they arrive in any numbers. If you want to try the wall at Dinish Island is a good place to go.
Live out on the beautiful Beara Peninsula. Always willing to assist visiting anglers.

Never heard of squid being fished for in Ireland ! Not up north anyway :D be interesting to see any videos or hear of any reports members might have .

Did see a report all while back about lad catching them of a peir in Skerries but can't find it now there is a video on you tube of a bloke on a kayak in donegal I think catching them

Some squid about at the moment,I got 3 tiny squid yesterday while looking for soleImageImage

Last year lads were getting squid in clifden bay in mid august

That's a Sepiola atlantica or little cuttlefish. Cute little guys and more common than you think. They don't grow very big.
