Bait supplier in Youghal + Redbarn beach

#1 Post by jono,b »

Howya lads, I am heading down to Youghal for the August bank holiday with the family and kids. I will be staying near Redbarn beach..
As I am travelling with the kids I wanted to travel light with regards to tackle, only 1 rod etc... I would like to source bait locally, preferably crab and lug, anybody and help or contracts for bait?

Also any tips for Redbarn?

Appreciate it lads.

Thanks
Jono

All the Youghal beaches are night venues.
Big spring tides that weekend. To the right of Redbarn is an estuary, Pilmore, you could try it at the start of the flood and over high water for some flounder and the odd bass. Fish between the corner of the beach to the back of the gaa pitch.

Fish the right hand side of Redbarn beach at night for flounder, they may be a few small cod around with the chance of a bass or painted ray.
you should still be able to pick up a few fish on a dropping tide

If nothing else enjoy the holiday
