Galway fishing

Heading to work in Galway at the weekend and will be free in the evenings. Anyone got any marks worth trying out close to the city.
Was thinking of just bringing the spinning gear but would bring more rods if there was a chance of a few fish.

Any help would be great.

good LRF round spiddal piers, flats on silverstrand - but plagued with people over the weekend
you might actually have a bit more peace in around the docks in the centre - but not as good fishing - otherwise your driving further west to conamara or south to rocks in north clare

iv caught plenty of dogfish and a bull huss of the salthill promenade at night
