Kilrush and Kilkee?
hI Lads,We are over fishing holiday for 2 weeks to Kilrush/Kilkee on tuesday any recent reports..cheers Andy.

i dont know much about shore fishing, its been an extremely windy start to the season for boat fishing
and almost no mackerel caught, forecast looks like improving just in time for you

Temperatures are still low in the west, so its been slow...
If you do go out on a charter there is a very unusual formation off kilkee which routinely throws up unusual species, not sure exactly where but its bound to be known to the skippers. Albacore, jacks and various unusual bream have come in from it...
From the shore, check out "chillwithbill", some posts from him here, lovely man, lives in the area, expert angler, writes for the UK magazines, specialist for specimen wrasse and triggers but knows the whole area like the back of his hand.

andy, mackerel seem to be absent still, if you want to try for the tropical species very early in april is the best time
