killorglin/rossbeigh territory...

#1 Post by spindlefist »

Hi all, that time of year approaches when I'm heading down to killorglin for a long weekend of work. but the evenings and mornings are my own, rather than go on the beer, I like to go off and enjoy the fishing down that way. I know a few of the marks, but wondering is there any handy piers or strands near enough (within 30mins ) of killorglin, as I'll be fishing alone and at night, don't want to be down on the old pier in kells bay or such.
any species really, just to get out , rod tip nodding, even a doggie fest, I honestly don't mind.

hmmm, Was thinking Inch, but as it's again in the midst of the Bass Ban, is there any point going there? I mean, yeah, I can target the flounder, but chances are a nice fat bass will take the lug =D thinking more Huss or such as my quarry...

Renard point in Cahersiveen and a little beyond it Ballinaskelligs pier. Both handy to fish and can produce a few different species and will produce dogs all day long in their day.
