Hi members, I'm heading out there for a few hours tomorrow and I wondered if you peeps have any tips . I have mackerel and mussels.

Not many posters fish that area.
Hope this is not too late and that it might help for further fishing trips.
the s/e point (marked on the Google map) looks like a sandy spot in about 25' of water @ low water. It looks sheltered from a south west blow. There is a better map here on osi http://maps.osi.ie/publicviewer/#V1,476465,565449,7,4
use the compass on the top left corner to navigate.

there could be a bit of a swell down that way at the moment, if it looks unsafe go to the pub.

Well, thanks for the reply. I went down there but its all electric gates and farms, I couldn't see any way of accessing the water without scaling unfriendly looking fencing, nowhere to park and didn't fancy a but full of buckshot. So, another fruitless day at blackwater.
