Cheers fr the reply was thinking about giving it a try from a pier at night, bit cold for me to be bringing out my boat at this time of year
its big in jersey channel islands iv heard of a guy catching a 4foot one there about 6weeks ago although id be happy with even the smalest of squid here a bit of a change from the whiting

I also caught a few on Skerries pier after it was posted on here first time I went I tried with a couple of treble hooks got two and then I bought some squid rigs and prawn type soft plastics squid rigs worked bot I found them very small maybe it was the wrong time of the year as it was early march my information was that they get bigger from september on wards and now I only go for them after that time of year was fishing for them in Howth and Dunloaighaire Howth was the same small ones but did have a few bigger ones from Dun loaighaire the last couple of years I have fished for them but 4/5 years ago I was able to get enough of them for well over a years fishing
