Lads. A little bit of info not looking for any spots in particular just the fact I am travelling a long way I want to get
the tide correct. Whats the best tide to fish Youghal? I have fished it several times and I always get it wrong by the time I get down I
don't seem to catch because of weed or the run is too strong! So I plan to get down second or third weekend of January so If anyone has any advice could you let me know. Thanks Lads.

Hey doublebubble, I think the generally accepted wisdom is to fish the main beach in youghal from low water up.

I have not fished Ferrypoint myself, but the guys in the know here would say to fish maybe an hour before LW and two after. The weaker the tide the further either side of LW you will be able to fish

Well I'm off on Christmas Eve, my wife is working, I have a new bass rod, low water at my mark is at 1300, tide is 4.3,I have a couple of glorious hours planned standing in the surf legering a nice juicy piece of crab or razor . . . How's that for a plan!
