Deep water marks around North Down?

#1 Post by FishfulofDollars »

So I've been trying to get out fishing over the past month, but have been too busy to travel any distances. Was wondering if there were any clean, accessible spots around North Down to fish?
I tried Donaghadee Pier last month to no success.

So far I've considered Ballyhalbert Pier, but it seems to be too rough bottomed. I am tempted to try the rocks around Wilson's Point in Bangor, but the bottom could be rough as hell, I've seen people legering there before so I'm tempted to try it. Also curious about Orlock, once again I'm uncertain about the bottom.

Any information would be appreciated, cheers.
