Codling

#1 Post by Gabikyla »

Just a quick question, Do Codling frequent West Cork ? I'm not looking for any marks but I would like to know if I have a chance anywhere between Bantry and Kinsale.

Cheers guys

Yes but they're caught mainly in darkness usually in or outside estuaries. Rough weather brings them in.

This place used to be popular years ago for cod. We would fish under where the apartments are now. It is tidal so best fished around low water. Conger rock, happy days fishing with 2/0 hooks and a lump of mackerel.
