Specimen Flounder Fishing

#1 Post by basshunter10 »

Well lads,

I'm going after a specimen for the winter and I'm just wondering have any of you gotten any of the big girls yet. Maybe still a little early for the big ones, there's plenty about on the beaches I fish but no big ones just yet.

I love flounder fishing, I think a lot of people take them for granted and they provide a great session if you have a few in front of you.

Any of the beaches around the boyne estuary will produce good flounder this time of year. I've had big ones but not a specimen yet. November tends to be best for the bigger ones up this way but that's just my opinion. Maybe they've just fattened up by November and that's why they tend to be bigger.
