penn rampage surf

Lads

I'm looking at getting one of the penn rampage surf rods but not sure which one to go for: 15ft9 or 13 :?

To be honest I'm leaning towards the 13ft but anybody have opinion which is best?

the longer rods can be a bit akward to cast if your are of smallish stature, but you get used to it ,but there again you can use much longer traces with ease.so if you are small I would go with the smaller rod.

Hello,
Im using the Penn Rampage 15,9 rod and i have to say im very happy with it and you can lob out a good distance with some ease and the fact you can use extra long casts also,i have it a year now and have no problems with it.

I agree with all comments made, takes a bit of getting used to, but long overhead casts can be made with little effort, but if you really wind it up !!!!! (15'9")

It takes a bit of getting used to but ill tell ya when you do crank it up it will lob your bait a good distance when you need to get it out there.

Would suit beach fishing I think it might be a struggle from a rock mark tho.
