Courtown

#1 Post by Moebaby »

Fishface, Me and the Son (Thang):

2-3 Hours:

High dropping:

Windy:

Mackerel, Lug, Rag and Feathers:

Need to ask Fishface:

Smooth Hound, Dab and Cod:

Fishface suggested Courtown instead of my usually Mackerel bashing spot in Wicklow Harbour. While I'm not anyway a pro I decided to follow suggestions trialing behind Fishface all the way from Wicklow. We met with strong winds but the determined Fishface and Thang thought nothing of it. I watched from the sidelines with my odd cast of the feathers to no avail. Fishface reeled the biggest fish I ever seen on the east coast, wow it was amazing a Smooth Hound and Dab. Sorry my excitement in helping pull the line up for him assisted the fish been released. Being a true angler that he Iis he gently excused my poor skill and bad judgement. Thang followed with Dab, then to pull matters at end Fishface reeled in a Cod that the biggest I seen.

For me as usual a blank, hey I'm out of my depth when it comes to this the odd Mackerel and I'm feel like the lotto plus came in...

fair play to Fishface...sorry no photos I was to excited and the cod tasted nice too...

Did you go back to the same spot? Good fishing last time, a bit exposed but hey I survived the last time..

I'm heading down to the local pier on Friday afternoon at around 3-4pm, coming down!!
