HOOK HEAD mackerel

#1 Post by czikago »

Hi to all.

Any mackerel around HookHead since last week (05.08.2014) ? I was there few times this year spend over 120euro on petrol and
didn't see even one mack. So Im just asking before I waste another 30euro on petrol and another off day. Thanks a lot for any info.

Not sure about Hook Head but I have had exactly same experience in Dingle Bay......until last Friday! Caught hundreds in space of two hours! Have heard that they have arrived in West Cork too....

You didn't waste any money on petrol, you got out fishing enjoying the wonders of the coast and got some good sea air down your lungs! You also paid most of it to the tax man boosting the economic recovery! You should be proud!:-))
