Cooley peninsula

Hi all, just wondering if anyone has an information they'd be willing to share on shore fishing spots would the Cooley peninsula? I've scoped out the lighthouse at Greenore. Is this the best spot?? If so, what are the best tactics, stage of tide and baits? Also what species are likely??

Thanks Kieran, is the point at Greenore worth a shot at low water when the tides have slackened??

There's a couple of slip ways just back from the light house at greenore that I fished a few years back. I had dogfish,mac's Pollock and a few small huss. fished from the bottom of the tide up with sand eel at about 80 yards. hope this helps

It's good for cod in the winter,I lost a tope? There one evening it's only a small window of time around low water,so bring the spinning gear when the tide turns go walking and you'll hopefully find a few bass and trout south of greenore

I was told to avoid the harbour, tackle graveyard, commercial so anglers not welcome - told, so may not be true
yes, tide is a monster around there so slack water periods are good for legering but I've done very little fishing there. Inside carlingford itself there is plenty of shallow weedy stuff ideal for bass and mullet - am told the mouth of the canal (yes) is good for sea trout.
