I've been recommended a teklon concept 702ml for bass spinning.

I'm happy to purchase if its worh it, but I see a lot of recommendations for much cheaper rods like the shimano vengeance which is a third of the price.
The rod will doe me for many years, prob 2-3 fishing sessions per mon, is the teklon worth the extra money

Better to get the Tekklon IMO, you get what you pay for and if it's something you want for the long term then pay the extra few quid plus with this rod you know it won't pack in and you can trust it with bigger fish if you're lucky enough to hook any. I got one a few years back and never had a problem, on the other hand I did have problems with Shimano rods cracking and that was after alot of use.
A bad day fishing is better than a good day at the office!

There is much to read in the "lure section"

My advice get the 802 much much better action and response in the teklon. Unreal rod.
But I still use the vengeance. Price alone is a steak

Vengeance is a nice rod have the 8ft 50g. The surecatch salty is a better rod imo. I have the 8ft and 7ft versions. The 7ft salty with a technium 3000 is my go to setup from an extensive collection ! Best of luck with whatever you choose

I have the 802 concept and the vengeance 240h and I would say that the concept is a far better rod it has a nicer reel seat, Fuji guides and is a nicer rod to fish with....the vengeance is ok but tis more suited to heavier lures in my opinion.
There's the new teklon nano out now which is the uprated version of the concept and tis only 15 quid more then the concept off halfway angling in cork which is the cheapest I found for all these rods, this is their online store.... http://www.tackledirectireland.ie/index ... cPath=3_19
