We all have targets that we set, runs we try and catch, achievements we try and accomplish, so what I'm trying to do is make a list of ten things I'm going to try and get done over the next 12 months with a rod and reel. I'm into all types of fishing apart from course, I don't mind a bit of tench fishing but that's as far as I go. Trout fishing is what I started with, worming when I was about 6 and haven't looked back. I set out to try and break my PB trout this year and I have done so it's lead me to this.
Will you give me a hand making the list please lads? just so that I don't miss something that I regret. It can be anything from a specimen flounder, shore caught tope, 4lb perch, double figure smoothie, shad.,etc.
I'll stick up the list when I have my ten and report on any efforts I make trying to cross one off the list, be it successful or not.
Cheers

Re: Top Tens
I'd say a specimen hound would be a good challenge.
It ain't easy but it sure is simple!

Re: Top Tens
A specimen hound is only 6 something lb so very easy to get especially in july.
You should go for a double hound it would be more of a challenge.

Re: Top Tens
One that aint your list and came up recently would be a shore caught Ling. Beautiful fish and although alot of people think they are impossible to get from the shore and only reside in extremely deep water and wrecks I have had a good few , Nice challenge and very rewarding when you get one no matter what size. Also it will get you out trying new marks. Deeper rock marks and nice makarel cocktail baits work well.
