A little help/advice on shore angling in wexford

#1 Post by Dusey121 »

Hi guys,

I'm just looking to see if anyone would be willing to offer up some advice on fishing Wexford, myself and a couple guys are heading down from Belfast on 17th June with bass and smooth hounds being the main targets. We are staying in Sean ogs holiday homes and were down for 3 nights so we are hoping to try a few marks. I was looking at morriscastle strand as a possible mark, and I see there are plenty of marks around Wexford, can anyone give any advice on which marks to fish, which tides are best etc, and if there are any 'hot spots' on any of the beaches.

Also any advice on where to get fresh bait in Wexford, peeler crabs, rag worm.

Any advice would be helpful as this is our first outing going south of Belfast,

Cheers :)

contact joe carly for crab - http://www.southeastbaitsupplies.com/

smoothies, rising tide, darkness, peelers - pretty much will turn up on most stretches - further south and south coast results in bigger smoothies but less numbers in general

with the time of year in it and location id be lure fishing for the bass 17th on - best of luck on getting the hotspots!
