Marks with Easy Access - East Coast

#1 Post by alby »

Hi all,

A friend of my old man’s who was a great angler in his day, has got the bug to go out and catch a few fish again.

The problem is, he’s not mobile at all and is hooked up to oxygen 24/7 due to respiratory illness unfortunately.

I’m looking for a mark (beach hopefully) within an hour or so of Dublin that requires no real walking – I know a few Wicklow marks are handy enough but the tide run could be a bit of hardship.

I’m thinking Arklow at the roadstone end, but if anyone has any alternatives pls shout or drop me a pm.

Cheers,
Alby

Ballyconnigar, Blackwater, you can fish from the car park (or you could a few years ago). Bit more than an hour.

Down to the end of the west for an evening stroll without gear is hard enough eric, he would have to bring 2 bottles of oxygen if he goes down that route
handy enough fishing at the old baths south beach greystones alby, little hike onto the beach.
