Pulley dropper rigs

#1 Post by DubPredator »

Anyone know where to get those Gemini bent rig clips for the snoods on the pulley dropper rigs? Anywhere on the southside seems to be sold out. Pref in Dublin,

Thanks in advance

I see diagrams online where a cascade swivel is used. Anyone any experiences of using cascades in this rig, do they release every time?

That would not be a true pulley rig

Pulley rig driving instructions here https://www.epackshot.co.uk/photorecce/ ... RigAnchor8

I use the Breakaway Proper Pulley clip with a little modification and a bit of shrink tube to avoid the line getting snagged

Nice video well explained.
Just one point, the diamond running swivel will weaken the line during the cast. I've used a 4/0 swivel for the thicker diameter and have seen a few lead weight wandering up the beach at speed during a cast

Since I started using the Breakaway Proper Pulley clip I've never had a problem.

you are right, I must have looked at about 20 more rig videos before I posted and got yours mixed with one of the others.

It's the swivel attached to the mainline that will weaken the body of the trace. The constant pressure, when casting, put on the same part of the body will weaken the line and will cause it to snap eventually,
