Float fisking for macks.

#1 Post by jono,b »

Howya lads,

Looking for some advice on float fishing for macks. I am not a huge fan of heavy gear, 5oz weight and feathers, I prefer lighter methods of catching them, float and spinner on light gear.

Can you advise me on tips for float fishing for them, depth to fish, tides, when to strike etc.

Thanks

The depth will vary, you will just have to try different depths until you find the fish, I wouldn't really strike at all as they will more than likely hook themselves when they feel and resistance at all. The lighter the better, you'd be surprised with the fight they'll give.
Can't wait to feel them on the end of my lightest gear..
sure, its not raining between the showers!
