Estuary species

well jw what speices have people caught in estuary's wondering as i had a eel today about 5 inches long came in a bunch of weed was about 5-6 inches long sea weed sort of brown and a really weird shaped head also had a starfish nothing edible though just wondering what the eel was

Probably a common eel. They can mess up your trace without even getting hooked!!! In estuarys you could expect flounder,dabs,dogfish,sea trout,common eel,whiting,codling(or cod) and maybe bass or mullet.

Probably a pipefish, they have a mouth a bit like a sea horse!

Id say it was probably a Goby or Blenny, they can look like an eel sometimes.

pipe fish defiantly i didnt wanna say the seahorse head wasnt sure how to put it thanks :)
