nope!
unless that secad crowd has opened it to the public? doubt it tho.
you used to be able to acess the fort at LOW water, dwn the hill at the southern side of the fort, over the rocks and up thru a hole cut into the fence about ten foot up,but now its much trickier, you gotta climb up the ten feet onto the pier edge then kinda arm ladder along about 25ft of 45 degree railing, then up over the short standard rail at the end of the 45 degree railing and your in,only to get kicked out if your not wide.i have never been kicked out but i have heard it happening to people.if you do manage to get to the james bond style mark, you gotta stay till low water again, unless you get kicked out on purpose :D almost impossible to hold ground when fishing from the pier when tide is falling or rising, just the happy hour in between
7 oz grippers wont hold ground.i use a 6oz deadweight dont fight it :D and i wouldnt trust the stand on the pier, keep it in the paw,i have had plenty of codling there,3 bearded and 5 bearded rockling, pollock taking bait, dogs and mackerel on hokkais, and the one turbot rough ground fishing further south of the fort, buddies of mine have taken sizable rockling from here too...let me kno if you get in there man, hell of a walk dwn the cliff and over the rocks with a good climb at the end, only to do it all again on the way home 12 hours later :D

I sent the crowd running the place a message on facebook a few months back asking them if they are going to open the piers up to anglers, they said they would when they finally get them revamped next year, they said in the reply the only reason they don't allow it now is because the piers are officially condemned and its got to do with insurance, its a spot i've always wanted to fish . if you park in the car park of the gaa ground next to the fort and follow the path on the far left hand corner you can get down there, I've heard reports of ray, conger, bass amongst other species been caught down that side, its a bit of a trek back if you have a lot of gear.

Fish can be caught from the rocks but it would be best if you took a good look at the area at low water and as the tide floods. In some places the water will flood in behind you and cut off your way back. During the summer you’ll see plenty of the bass anglers there as the weather warms up.
Fishing would be a bit slow there at the moment.
Have a look at this http://maps.osi.ie/publicviewer/#V1,580922,561712,6,0 it’s a better map than google for looking at the bottom.
Use the compass on the top left to move the map around

Just an update on this the two piers are flagged as dangerous, are fenced off and are also out of bounds to staff working in Camden.
There is also 24 hour manned security in the fort.

It will be a good place to try when the renovations are completed sometime in the future. Its not worth risking your life for a fish
