The planning has been done, marks have been identified , fork sharpened for the dig, rods and reels washed down and ready to go,Rod stand hammered back into shape after the knocks last week it took
once again I get down on my knees and pray that the weather plays ball.
Tips about the weed last week were spot on .
Wind direction has been noted and a compass app downloaded. fingers crossed.

Looking good
The two venues I've been fishing have been clean of weed but then I have been fishing them over high water.
Fishing from the rocks my line is entering the water a bit of a distance out the other venue I'm fishing from the footpath with the same effect.
If you are fishing from low water up try to keep you rod stand as close to the water line and the rod up as high as it can go. This should will keep your line out over the second breaker. I find a lot of the small weed is in close and will get caught in your line if it is entering the water too close in.
NOTE: Ballycotton road race on next Sunday. Traffic is always mayhem around the place for it.
Something like 900 entries.

Re: Fishing this Sunday part 2
Thanks Tom.
Thank you for the info on the ballycotton road race, i will avoid it as much as possible, you were spot on about the weed last time Donal, thousands of tiny pieces , it wasnt much fun having to take it off the line, the mark I have in mind has a rock formation that can be fished at the low to mid tide I will be making good use of it,
Last week I was wading to cast but I set my rod tip high but way back from the water line, lesson learned .
Thanks again Donal
