Passage east 2/2/14

#1 Post by breamers boy »

People: me

Duration: 2 hours

Tide: Incoming

Weather: windy and bitterly cold

Bait: mack

Rigs: 2 hook clipped

Results: one codling and the worlds smallest flounder :)

Report: Headed down to passage where I often blank, when I got there the water was very coloured and there was a fair wind.I had never really fished passage in darkness but I had to give it a go.First few casts were nothing but piles of weed. The rod was nearly hauled out of the stand and I lifted into a dead weight.Weed.So I thought but it was infact a fine whiting which chose to fall off at the last minute and swim home.Thanks.After that few nice knocks and got a one pound codling. He went back and the bait was out in the water again.I got a little knock and reeled in a very very very small flounder who swallowed a size 2/0 hook and a big chunk of mackerel!!Bloody savage!!
Overall a nice little session after one or two blanks which I didnt bother to report. My passage jinx is finally going away!! :D
