peeler crab

any tips on gathering/ identifying/ how long can you keep they alive/ how to prepare the crab for bait :?

I may be wrong but i think a way of gathering them is by placing tyres down in certain areas. Correct me if i am wrong i am new to sea angling. When the tide is low you can collect your crabs hidden inside the tyres.

most people use tyres ..... the best way to use them is to peel off the shell and use the soft meat as bait tying it on with bait elastic and you can use the claws for bait aswell ..... they are hard to get this time of year ..... u can freeze them aswell

Species 2013: Coalie, East Coast Codling, Smoothounds, And hopefully a back opp to get back fishing soon...
