weed in youghal ?

as above whats the weed like down that way after all the storms heading down on tuesday but dont want a wasted trip also is there much of a flood on the river with the fresh water

It's not the weed you'll have to worry about, it's the trees and branches that are the problem :roll: I fished the Ferry Point last night, waste of time. Too much fresh water in the river aswell. Tuesday could be a waste of time, this weather front isn't meant to clear til then anyway :evil:

It takes about 4-5 days for the flood water to drain from the Blackwater. It would be a waste of bait to fish there until at least Thursday.
And as Sean said it is full of trees branches and all sorts of debris. I was driving over the bridge yesterday afternoon and the tide was pushing a 35-40 ft tree back up the channel.
Probably the only places worth fishing are the beaches in the bay well outside of the harbour area.

Fished monatra last nite weed free got 1 cod about 3lb
Species....good film.....I'll get my coat
