Turbot & Plaice from the shore !
Thinking of heading for a session targeting the flat lads . What are peoples thoughts on best baits , rigs , leads ( Grip or not ) , tides ebb or flow spring or neap ?
If I'm not gonna catch a fish , I may aswell not catch a BIG fish !

Re: Turbot & Plaice from the shore !
Turbot will take small strips of mackerel. Not sure where you are based but most east coast beaches have them but they're pretty small for he most part. As for the Plaice, I've had them on rag before.
As far as rigs are concerned I'd use two or three hook flappers with small'ish hooks!!
Hope this helps!

smallish hooks and baits be it worm or mack and plenty of bling fished tight to the bottom should work wherever you are best of luck
