Secure Rod Carry Options?

#1 Post by Bimmer »

Heres one to muse about. When transporting rods on car to the beach,. I have roof bars. I strap rod bag ( quiver type ) to roof and off I go. I can't find a holder big enough to cover rods completely. I am considering a length of waste pipe ( brown type ) but that would have to be seven and half feet long, not counting 'ends', plus not sure if it be wide enough as I want to include my beach shelter, What are you using ? all ideas greatly received.

Ha ha thanks lads, I've still got to carry recently bought igloo and rods etc, so salt cover probably too small. What is a large Kiss Tube? Sounds like something for a different type of forum'. Might try strapping a transit to me roof lol

+1 deadly bit of gear especially if your trekking a bit.i can get quite a few beach casters of various sizes into it,me chunky diawa stand a couple of spinning rods, small spinning reel and a couple of multis...great for travelling too when you need to bring the whole arsenal to account for any unknown situations that occur on fishing new marks...the only balls is some of the buddies cars aint long enough for it!!
if you have a saloon or van or a roof rack, your laughing...
