Dublin squid

Does anyone know when squid start showing around Dublin?? Also, has anyone ever had any luck fishing for them. I had one once but when jigging for mackerel but was thinking of targeting them with proper squid jigs.

There was a couple caught from the boats in dalkey in the last week :wink:
