doggy bashing on South Beach graystones

People:my lonely self

Duration:7pm till 12

Tide:on the drop

Weather:light rain

Bait:rag and squid

Rigs:2up 1down

Results:one 25 flounder and 19 lsd




Report:got out for a few hours to graystones started off very slow with baits comein in untouched then after bout hour and a half had a 25 flounder so I was off the mark then after that it was doggy after doggy so at 12 I packed up and hit the peir hopein for something else but don't ya know doggy after doggy again ah well was better than a blank :)

That was me on the pier fishing beside you. I was delighted to get two doggies on my last 2 casts to save the blank. Was nothing happening apart from that. Nice to meet you

Downsize your hooks and in close...
Species 2012: Flounder, Whiting, Dublin Bay Codling, Coalie, 3 Beard Rockling, Shore Rockling, Bass, Dogfish, 5.2lb Starry Smoothhound (PB), Twaite Shad, Thornback Ray 5.8lbs (PB), LSD, Pollock, Ballan Wrasse, Cork Wing Wrasse, 43cm Flounder (PB)

Species 2013: Coalie, East Coast Codling, Smoothounds, And hopefully a back opp to get back fishing soon...

Was nice to meet you to and yup it saved the blank I brought them with me to the peir :D haha

Don't worry did all that size 4 hooks and fished straight down the wall, I even bobbed it along the bottom from one end of the pier to the other out of boredom and nutin.
I usually get a nice mixed bag of fish but it was just a quiet night, was even fishing wexford last week and it was quiet aswell with a lot of weed
