Boat Hire

I used to go out from Cloghar head with the kids every year to catch a few mackeral, the lad who was doing the trips doesn't seem to be around anymore so i was woundering does anyone know of some who could bring us out for a few hours from Cloghar head, Skerries around that area, Not talking big money here just 3 hours or so, cheers.

Most of them lads were unlicensed ,now that the rules are stricter and enforced them days are gone,but there is self drive boats in dalkey,and I think there is a boat in rush,but with the huge fuel and insurance costs a charter boat isn't cheep these days

YA they do the self drive from bullock harbour but at 20 euro a hour it a bit steep on the pocket if your the only 1 paying but it can be worth while if there are 3 or 4 paying adults

There has to be at least two adults when hiring a boat from bulloch 1 adult and 1 child not allowed out.

waste of time going out in bullock mackeral are very scarce

Bulloch isnt all about mackerel :? have a look at some of my boat reports to see whats available :)

Yea there is great sport from Pollock out there, some big ones too

We fished Bullock yesterday in my mates boat we only had one Mackerel but we also had Pollock,Whiting, Dabs, Plaice, Ballan Wrasse, Corkwing Wrasse, Grey gurnard, and a foul hooked smooth hound all on light gear 7ft spin rod and 3/4 drilled bullet all on rag except the Mackerel.

Had 10 species in the boat today for a short session 5.5 hours, thats including 50 mackerel 8)
