black flags across ballycotton bay
Just wondering if anyone out there would know what these net markers are been used for, they are located right across ballycotton bay the last week. The boat that seems to own them is coming from the knockadoon area most mornings or late evenings, but the whole bay is choked with them

Yep, they're danbouys marking the gear belonging to the boys back Eastkieranring wrote:Lobster pots. They belong to one of the Knockadoon boats.

Good to hear, but a few friends of mine who have a mobile home in the area have been watching nets been hauled more than once in the last week ,better tell them to go to specsavers.

Re: black flags across ballycotton bay
Interesting observation this morning whilst trying for a few macks from ballycotton pier.2 fishery patrol ribs drove past the pier and proceeded in the direction of the black flags and cruised very slowly eastwards.Maybe just a random patrol or not but great to see all the same.
