Was there last Friday early, took a dozen mackerel in an hour. Another lad took about the same.

Interesting I was on breakwater early Friday morning 6 til 9ish I had 2 and a lad on the corner of the pier[English accent] did hit a good few but everybody else struggled, maybe 4 or 5 between a couple of eastern European lads on the front of the pier.

Tip No. 1 for Ballycotton, Let the lead sink to the bottom and bounce it as you retrieve it.
Tip No. 2 all area, If you hook into a mackerel don't be in a rush to get it in a lot of the time it will attract others resulting in 3 or 4 at a time :D :D :D :D . Just keep a bit of tension on the line to stop them tangling it.
