discarded campsites...

#1 Post by spindlefist »

Just a quick rant, been out to two relatively remote marks of late,in that they are bout 20 - 30 mins rough terrain- bertra strand and White Lady clifden, and both I have stumbled upon a tent or tents, just left there, filled to the gills with rubbish, sleeping bags, towels and human waste.
It shames me that I cannot bring them back and bin them myself, as I'm usually weighed down with more gear than I'll need for a trip, but just wondering if anyone else sees much of this on their marks? sickening mess to leave behind..

Jaysus, That's Horrible. Just a suggestion, That rubbish is likely to stay there for ever or until it's blown inland or into the sea, Maybe you should remove the poles from the tent and just burn it

disgraceful behavior, looks like leftovers from tourists which couldn't be bothered, not in the mood etc. - don't think they will be back for it, burning it is a sensible suggestion. A few drops of petrol or lighter fluid might help.
