Thinking of heading down on Saturday. Is it worth the walk? Was thinking of packing light and bringing bikes but unsure about the terrain down to the beach.
Anyone fished it recently? How did you get on?
Any info would be great.
Thanks

Re: Raven Point
If you cycle through the forest you can have your bike beside you where you fish , I haven't fished it but my mates caught a few b### (I know about the ban) and some ray. Watch out for quicksand if you are walking or cycling along the beach.I would recommend cycling through the forest. Let me know how you get on and good luck

Re: Raven Point
I fished the raven last year and caught nothing. You would think the place was full of fish, but its just full of seals. There must be a hundred seals. We drove down the beach and camped overnight. I wouldnt recommend it to be honest

Re: Raven Point
sound lads.
@ Donal
thats the plan to camp over with the good weather were having. Suppose its a bit more of an adventure than anything.
I seen a pic on Ashley Hadens site with 210 seals on the sand bank so i wouldn't be surprised if they have eaten everything.

Re: Raven Point
there's a few bass and flounder around the point. never had a good session there to be honest although a friend did have a bass around the 10 pound mark one evening.
