I have to agree with Damo. I was fishing with him last night and saw the crab he had gotten 12 or so standard non moulting shore crab. Left us really short of crab last night when we got to the venue and realised the scale of the issue. Was lucky I had gone and got some fresh crab earlier in the day. Cut a productive session short and waste of crab that just didn't need to be taken and frozen. Plus by the smell of them there is a good possibility they had been refrozen. I understand this may be an issue with the bait supplier and not the shop but no respectable supplier would have supplied a shop with this product. I just wanted to echo what Damo said as I hate someone else to get caught in the same position. So maybe just be a bit cautious on buying of bait there

€3 for a pack of Kamasan hooks is a bit rich but I think the shop is more set up for course fishing.

Not sounding too good at the moment, hopefully they're just teething problems..but at €3 for kamasans I won't bother until I hear something positive.

Tackle shops all over this country are struggling to make a few bob,i know that when i go into my local tackle shop they are dam glad to see me cos they know that im not going in for a chat they know that ill be spending a few quid, anyone that opens a tackle shop in the climate that we are in at the moment must have a fair pair of balls on them, but if they are not willing to supply good quality bait than they are asking for trouble as we all know fisherman are always talking to eachother and when the word gets around that they are even charging 3 euros for a pack of kamasans when i get them here in galway for 2 euro a pack.

It is certainly more set up for corse angling. I also asked for 6oz grip leads the chap had no clue what I was talking about.Im a bit disappointed as I only like round the corner. I think the bait issue maybe he has possibly asked a friend instead of a proper bait supplier to get bait.

But hey I would hope its teething issues. I think it works out as 1 euro each for frozen crab which were all hardback.

Cheers Martin for that yea I am only up the road myself just at the little shop on the Beaumont Road. I know a lad who might be able to supply him fresh bait!!!!
