orkney fastliner 60 hp

#1 Post by g agus t »

hi, just wondering if anyone here has a orkney fastliner 19ft with a 60hp 2 stroke. this is the older model boat (1999 approx). a 40hp is recommended by the makers. i find this a bit sluggish at times especially when theres 3 people in the boat. would the 60hp be too heavy or too overpowering. any ideas ??
shiver me timbers

if you get in touch with the makers they will give you the best answer, probably over powered but you can control the power with your right hand  id say if you plan on insuring the boat they wont go near you with an enging bigger than recommended
