People: brendan, tony, luke and jw

Duration: 0900 - 1700

Tide: neap tides

Weather: no wind, 2 meter swell

Bait: 2 fillets of frozen mackerel

Rigs: 3 hook paternoster

Results: 10 species - coalie, pollack, ling, pouting, poor cod, haddock, doggie, cuckoo, ballan, mackerel

Report: 1st of may and we could not get a single mackerel near loop head :shock:
one solitary mackerel out in the deep water, lots of coalies 3-4lb in size, some good pollack and ling.
fishing is good in the deep water away from land, very slow close to land, water temp 9 deg, up from
about 7 deg

nice one good fishing,mackerel seem to be very patchy all over there were more around in dec then now!
