South-west Donegal marks

I usually fish in Donegal bay but will be spending time near Ardara this spring and would like to fish rocky headlands around Aughros Point and Rossbeg. Does anyone know what time of year fish turn up? Last week-end I tried a couple of marks but got no bites. I know the sandy estuaries are different but I do like rock-hopping.
