New to Sligo

#1 Post by smiler1531 »

Hi Guys

i,ve recently moved over to Sligo , I ,m an average shore angler and would be grateful of any info on my local marks which are Dunmoran strand and Aughris head . I,ve been out an walked the dog along the rock marks today to the left of the pier and looks like there are some fantastic spots .
i,m tempted to try a bit of float fishing for some pollock off the rocks as i heard they might be about ?
also does anyone have any bass reports from the surf on strand ? there was some nice surf there today although i know its very early in the season yet. Just hoping to hear whats caught in these areas so i know what to aim for , many thanks , smiler
